Waterproof Pedometer Instructions

The Waterproof Pedometer will work when attached to a belt or shoulder strap of a pack.

  1. To attach the Waterproof Pedometer to a shoulder strap of your pack use the Velcro strap and buckle to hope the Waterproof Pedometer in place.
  2. To attach the Waterproof Pedometer to the belt strap you need to loosen the string clamp with the pull toggle
  3. Ease the string loop passed the bottom of the Waterproof Pedometer.
  4. Place the back flap of the outer casing over the belt.
  5. Ease the string loop back over the bottom of the Waterproof Pedometer and secure tightly with the pull toggle.
  6. The additional string can be tied to a convenient loop on the pack for additional security
  7. To configure the Waterproof Pedometer follow the enclosed Freestyle Instructions.  The Pedometer does not need to be removed from the waterproof casing to be configured.  The buttons can be pressed through the clear screen.

Warning:  The pedometer configuration should be checked before every event to ensure accuracy.  More information can be found at www.ARNavSupplies.com

As the enclosed leaflet explains, there is no roll-down enclosure from any manufacturer that is totally waterproof when submerged for an extended time.  The dry bag is intended to protect the pedometer from rain, splash, spray and intermittent shallow immersion found in most adventure races.

If the pedometer display goes blank after an extended submersion and moisture can be seen inside the bag, the unit will need to be dried.  The pedometer can be gently removed from the dry bag, taking note of how it was rolled up and put in a warm place to dry out.  Once dry the pedometer should work correctly again and can be put back in the dry bag.
